  | communist party. He was told |
that only in that case he as
a Pole will be protected
from any persecution. But
soon Franz noticed, that
many of his friends was
arrested, some of them just
disappeared - mostly
talented and honest people.
In 1937 he realized what is
going on and made a final
decision to retire from the
communist party. He came to
the local authority and said
he didn't want to be a
member of the party which
destroys best people. When
he came home he told his
wife and daughters that at
night he'll be arrested and |
|
they will never meet again.
At that very night he was
arrested and probably killed
or victimized. After his
rehabilitation in 1954 his
daughters new that there was
no accusation against him.
My grandfather, Franz
Rusetsky, couldn't lie to
himself, he preserved his
honesty. He choose to die
instead of live in lie.
